- 1 pound breakfast sausage divided into 4 patties
- 4 large eggs
- 4 English Muffins
- 4 slices American Cheese
- 3 tablespoons butter or olive oil
Turn on the Blackstone Griddle to medium-high heat. Add a layer of butter to grease the griddle. Form the sausage into loose balls, and add to the hot griddle. Cook for 1-2 minutes, then press down hard with a spatula. This will smash the meat so it cooks fast and evenly.
Add lots of butter to the griddle again and let it melt. Add one whole egg at a time and cook until it starts to set up. Flip the egg over to finish cooking to desired doneness.
Add melted butter to the English muffins and toast on the flattop. You can toast them as long as you’d like, then flip and toast the other side.
Place one cooked sausage patty on the toasted English muffin, add an egg and top with a slice of cheese. Add the top of the English muffin and enjoy!
I fried eggs without egg rings, but you can certainly use them if desired.
You can cut back on calories by using a lower calorie sausage or cheese. Also light English muffins work too.
