Ingredients

For the Cinnamon Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 sticks cinnamon

For the cocktail

  • 1 ounce vodka
  • 1 ounce cinnamon simple syrup
  • 1/2 ounce St. Germain Elderflower liquor
  • 1/2 ounce lime juice fresh
  • 1/3 cup ginger beer

Garnishes

  • lime slices
  • cinnamon sticks

Instructions

  • Add water, brown sugar, and cinnamon sticks to a small pan and heat on the stove. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook until the sugar dissolves. This will take about 3-5 minutes.
  • Remove the pan from the stove and let the mixture steep for 30 minutes.
  • Take out the sticks of cinnamon and add the mixture to an airtight container. Store this syrup recipe in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Make the Vodka Mule

  • Add the vodka, cinnamon syrup, St. Germain, and lime juice to the copper mug.
  • Add ice, and then add your favorite ginger beer.
  • Add a slice of lime and a stick of cinnamon. Serve.
