Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef made into 8 patties
  • 2 medium onions cut into slivers
  • 4 slices swiss cheese
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • Blackstone Whiskey Burger seasoning to taste
  • butter

Instructions

  • Begin by adding 1-2 tablespoons butter to the hot Blackstone Griddle. Add the sliced onions and season with salt and pepper. Flip frequently until they are the texture and color you like.
  • Add hamburger to a greased griddle and smash down to form a flattened patty. Season with Blackstone Whiskey Burger Seasoning. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook until the bottom side develops a slight crust.
  • Flip the burgers, and add a little more seasoning, salt and pepper. Finish cooking until the burger reaches desired doneness.
  • Butter the bread and toast on the Blackstone. Flip and toast second side.
  • Add caramelized onions to the burger and top with a slice of swiss cheese. Let sit until the cheese gets melty. Add the 2 burger patties for each patty melt and serve. Enjoy!

Notes

Note: You can cut the recipe in half and make 1/4 pound burgers instead of 1/2 pound. Or keep the recipe the same and serve 8 with smaller burgers.
