Ingredients Needed

Ice – You can use any ice you want (Yes, even Sonic ice works), but you will need a lot of it!

Lemonade – Use whichever brand of lemonade you like. It can be homemade lemonade or storebought. We prefer to prepare a batch of Country Time, but anything works.

Sugar – We like our lemonade slushies to be extra sweet, but feel free to cut back on the sugar if you’d rather.

Lemon slices – While the fresh lemon slices are optional, they really make the summertime beverage look extra festive!

Mint – Another way to add a pop of color is by adding some fresh mint leaves. Plus, they taste great too.

Freezing – Place the lemonade slushie in a freezer bag or container. It will last for up to a week. Thaw on the counter for 10 minutes before serving. If it’s too lumpy, put it back in the blender for a few minutes until smooth.

Pro Tips And Variations

  • For a strong lemon flavor, add 1-2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  • Add a new twist on flavors by adding some fresh strawberries to the ice mixture before blending.
  • Swap the regular lemonade for strawberry lemonade for a fun pink hue. Garnish with a fresh strawberry.
  • Add some bright straws to add vibrant color when entertaining.
  • Always use lemonade that you already enjoy! It will taste the best!

Can I add fruit to my lemonade slush?

Add whatever fresh or frozen fruit you want to the blender. Blend until smooth! Strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries are all popular options, but you can really add anything you like.

Can I make a lemon slush with alcohol?

Add 2-4 ounces of your favorite liquor to the blender. We like vodka, rum, and tequila. They make all sorts of flavored alcohol to give the drink a different taste, like coconut rum or pineapple vodka.
