This Cheese Ball Recipe is going to blow your mind! It’s so flavorful and is the perfect party food. Each bite gives you an explosion of flavor from ranch seasoning, bacon, green onions, and yummy cheddar cheese.
If I make a cheeseball, you can rest assured that it’s pretty much going to disappear in no time. My kids will eat it like they are trying to win a contest! I can’t blame them either, because I have a hard time resisting the rich and creamy flavors.

- 2 packages cream cheese – 16 ounces (room temperature)
- 1 package cooked bacon, crumbled
- 6-8 finely chopped green onions
- 1 packet dry ranch seasoning
- 1 ½ – 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
🥓 Instructions
- Mix together the cream cheese, crumbled bacon pieces, chopped green onions, and dry ranch seasoning together in a medium bowl. You can combine using an electric mixer or do it by hand using a wooden spoon until well combined.
- Form the cream cheese mixture into a ball shape using a piece of plastic wrap, so it doesn’t stick to your fingers. Once you have a ball formed, press the shredded cheddar cheese onto the cheese ball.
- Serve with pretzels, bell peppers, or crackers, and enjoy!
Notes/Tips/Variations
- Feel free to add some shredded cheese to the cream cheese mixture. Add up to 1 cup and blend it in a mixer. Then coat the cheese ball with more shredded cheese.
- Add some chopped pecans, walnuts, or almonds to the cheese ball recipe.
- If you forget to set out the cream cheese, place it on a microwave-safe plate (after taking it out of the wrapper) and heat up for 20 seconds or so until it’s softened.

How do I store leftovers?
You should keep leftovers in an airtight container, and it needs to be refrigerated. It will last in the fridge for 4-5 days.
Additionally, if you don’t add nuts to the cheese ball, you can even freeze it. You will need to use a piece of plastic wrap and cover it well. Then place it into a freezer container. It will last up to a month and can easily be thawed in the fridge.
