If I make a cheeseball, you can rest assured that it’s pretty much going to disappear in no time. My kids will eat it like they are trying to win a contest! I can’t blame them either, because I have a hard time resisting the rich and creamy flavors.

Why This Recipe Works

  • It tastes so delicious
  • A perfect appetizer to serve for Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and all the other holidays
  • You can easily customize it
  • It’s low carb, so it will fit a keto-friendly diet

🧀 Ingredients

  • 2 packages cream cheese – 16 ounces (room temperature)
  • 1 package cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 6-8 finely chopped green onions
  • 1 packet dry ranch seasoning
  • 1 ½ – 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

🥓 Instructions

  1. Mix together the cream cheese, crumbled bacon pieces, chopped green onions, and dry ranch seasoning together in a medium bowl. You can combine using an electric mixer or do it by hand using a wooden spoon until well combined.
  2. Form the cream cheese mixture into a ball shape using a piece of plastic wrap, so it doesn’t stick to your fingers. Once you have a ball formed, press the shredded cheddar cheese onto the cheese ball.
  3. Serve with pretzels, bell peppers, or crackers, and enjoy!

Notes/Tips/Variations

  • Feel free to add some shredded cheese to the cream cheese mixture. Add up to 1 cup and blend it in a mixer. Then coat the cheese ball with more shredded cheese.
  • Add some chopped pecans, walnuts, or almonds to the cheese ball recipe.
  • If you forget to set out the cream cheese, place it on a microwave-safe plate (after taking it out of the wrapper) and heat up for 20 seconds or so until it’s softened.

❗ FAQs

How do I store leftovers?

You should keep leftovers in an airtight container, and it needs to be refrigerated. It will last in the fridge for 4-5 days.

Additionally, if you don’t add nuts to the cheese ball, you can even freeze it. You will need to use a piece of plastic wrap and cover it well. Then place it into a freezer container. It will last up to a month and can easily be thawed in the fridge.
